Ploiești Community Social Services Administration

Ploiești Community Social Services Administration was established in 2002, through Local Council Decision no. 307 of 19.12.2002, as a public institution of local interest with legal personality, under the subordination of the Ploiești Municipal Local Council. It resulted from the reorganization of the former public service – the Social Aid Canteen – and the Social Protection Directorate.

The institution's main activity is the provision, at the level of the Ploiești municipality, of all social assistance and protection services. Through specific actions and measures, social assistance aims to develop individual, group, or community capacities to meet social needs, improve quality of life, and promote social cohesion and inclusion.

The social services offered are proactive in nature and are based on an integrated approach, taking into account the person's socio-economic context, state of health, level of education, and the social environment in which they live.
