Disinfectants for surfaces and floors

In healthcare facilities, medical laboratories, public institutions and commercial or private spaces, surfaces and floors are critical contact points that require rigorous disinfection protocols. Maintaining a safe environment relies on biocidal products with proven activity, able to reduce the microbial load without degrading the treated materials.

On klintensiv.ro you will find a wide range of disinfectants classified as Product Type 2 (TP2), intended for medical, industrial, institutional and household use. Our formulas are optimised for hard floors, ceramic tiles, PVC, clinical furniture, touch screens and diagnostic equipment.

Broad-spectrum biocidal activity and European compliance

Every product in the Klintensiv portfolio undergoes rigorous testing in accredited laboratories, in line with European efficacy standards:

  • Bactericidal activity (EN 13727, EN 13697, EN 16615, EN 17387, EN 1276): Destroys bacteria in their vegetative form, rapidly eliminating standard pathogens (Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococcus hirae) as well as resistant strains of major clinical importance such as MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), Enterococcus faecium, Acinetobacter baumannii and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
  • Yeasticidal activity (EN 13624, EN 13697, EN 16615, EN 17387, EN 1650): Specifically targets yeasts, with validated action against the reference organism Candida albicans and against highly resistant emerging hospital pathogens such as Candida auris.
  • Fungicidal activity (EN 13624, EN 13697, EN 17387, EN 1650): An extended spectrum covering both yeasts (Candida albicans) and filamentous fungi and moulds (Aspergillus brasiliensis).
  • Tuberculocidal and mycobactericidal activity (EN 14348): Ranges from destroying the Koch bacillus (Mycobacterium terrae) to full mycobactericidal protection against resistant non-tuberculous species (Mycobacterium avium).
  • Virucidal activity (EN 14476, EN 16777): Inactivates viruses across three distinct spectra: enveloped (coronavirus, HIV, HBV etc.), limited spectrum (adenovirus, norovirus) and general/full (including poliovirus).
  • Sporicidal activity against Clostridioides difficile (EN 17126): A spectrum targeted specifically at controlling severe hospital-acquired infections by eliminating the spore forms of Clostridioides difficile.
  • General sporicidal activity (EN 17126, EN 13704): Represents high-level disinfection, tested cumulatively on highly resistant bacterial spores (Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus cereus).

Classification of disinfectants by method of use

To respond flexibly to logistical requirements in the field, the products are organised into two clear subcategories:

  • Ready-to-use (RTU) products: Liquid solutions and impregnated wet wipes, ideal for disinfecting surfaces in medium- or high-risk contamination areas by wiping or spraying, with no dilution or rinsing required.
  • Concentrated products: Liquid formulas, powders or effervescent tablets for preparing working solutions according to the dilution tables. An ideal option for the daily disinfection of large surfaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our products

A
The Klintensiv range for floors and surfaces includes PT2 biocidal products, available both ready to use (RTU) and as concentrates that require dilution. These solutions are designed specifically for disinfecting hard surfaces in medical, commercial, institutional or industrial settings, with microbiological efficacy certified by European EN standards.
A
Klintensiv surface disinfectants cannot be used on just any surface without first checking material compatibility. Each product's chemical formula and pH determine its specific area of application, so it is essential to consult the technical data sheet before use, especially on sensitive materials (marble, wood, parquet or metals prone to corrosion), to avoid damaging them.
A
The optimal frequency for using Klintensiv disinfectants in public spaces is set by each institution's hygiene protocol and cleaning plan, adapted directly to foot traffic and the local epidemiological risk. High-traffic areas and frequent contact points (handles, handrails, buttons) require daily periodic disinfection, while in critical areas disinfection must be carried out after every use.
