When protocols call for a continuous workflow in the practice and any risk of under-dosing must be eliminated, ready-to-use (RTU) products are the most suitable choice. This category brings together liquid solutions and pre-impregnated wipes that require no dilution, eliminating the risk of under-dosing and reducing preparation time. The formulas are designed to meet the contact times required for each level of disinfection, from routine decontamination to high-level action.

The products are intended for disinfecting non-porous surfaces, clinical furniture, operating tables, worktops, air conditioning systems and footwear.

Classification of disinfectants by chemical composition

Fast-evaporating alcohol-based formulas: Products with a high alcohol content, such as the Klinosept liquid solution and Klinomed™ wipes (based on 85% v/v ethanol), provide fast biocidal activity and complete drying without leaving residue on equipment in critical medical areas. In addition, Dezidiol wipes (low in alcohol, with chlorhexidine) and Klintensiv Alchosafe are ideal for frequently touched surfaces, while Klintensiv – 70% Rubbing Alcohol provides wipe disinfection of inert objects.
Hydrogen peroxide-based formulas: Peroklin liquid and Peroklin wipes act as ready-to-use disinfectant detergents with excellent cleaning, degreasing and odour-neutralising properties, intended for high-level disinfection in wards and areas of major biological risk (such as operating theatres, intensive care units, emergency departments or laboratories).
Quaternary ammonium compound-based formulas: RTU Surface Disinfectant and Disinfectant wet wipes provide simultaneous cleaning and disinfection (2-in-1) and are compatible with delicate or clouding-prone materials that are sensitive to alcohol. For large institutional areas, Davera Institutional provides optimal coverage of furniture and hard floors and can be used to impregnate decontamination mats.
Specialised formulas for dedicated applications: The range includes Klinall Anti-mould Disinfectant – developed for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces covered with fungi (tiles, washable paint), Klinall Air Conditioner Disinfectant – for the vents and filters of air conditioning systems, and the dermatologically tested Footwear Disinfectant spray, formulated to eliminate microorganisms inside shoes.

What types of surfaces can be disinfected with ready-to-use products?

Klintensiv ready-to-use (RTU) disinfectants are suitable for decontaminating hard, non-porous surfaces in medical settings (practices, hospitals, clinics), HoReCa businesses, the food industry, high-traffic public institutions or the home. To avoid damaging materials, check the compatibility recommendations in each product's technical data sheet first, which specify exactly which surfaces it has been tested on and can be safely applied to (metals, plastics, glass, wood, floors or textiles).

Do surfaces need rinsing after applying ready-to-use disinfectants?

Klintensiv ready-to-use products do not require rinsing after application, as they are formulated to be used directly by spraying or wiping and left to act and dry naturally on the treated surface.

How quickly do ready-to-use disinfectants work?

The contact time of Klintensiv ready-to-use disinfectants ranges from a few seconds to 60 minutes, depending on the desired spectrum of microbiological efficacy. For correct disinfection, the treated surface must stay wet for the full contact time specified in each product's technical documentation.
