Public Health Directorate (DSP) Hunedoara

The Hunedoara Public Health Directorate (DSP) is a decentralized public institution with legal personality, under the authority of the Ministry of Health. It represents the public health authority at the level of Hunedoara County, having the role of implementing national health policies and programs, as well as developing and coordinating local programs adapted to the needs of the community. Among the main duties of DSP Hunedoara are:

  • monitoring and evaluating the health status of the population;
  • coordinating and controlling activities in the field of public health, including epidemiological surveillance and control of communicable diseases;
  • organizing and managing the county health network;
  • planning and carrying out investments in the health sector, funded from the state budget.
