DABACA COMMUNE CITY HALL

Dăbâca commune is located in Cluj County, approximately 35 km north of Cluj-Napoca, in the Someș Plateau. It consists of the villages of Dă bâca, Luna de Jos, and Pâglișa, and is crossed by the Lona Valley. The altitude varies between 300 and 577 meters, with high points such as Dealul Dâmbu lui Carol. A historical landmark is the Dăbâca Fortress, a former royal fortress and residence of the Dăbâca county during the 10th–14th centuries. Located on the Fortress Hill at an altitude of 698 meters, the fortress had a triangular shape and was destroyed during the Tatar invasion of 1241–1242. The commune offers educational and health facilities, including two kindergartens, two primary and secondary schools, a medical dispensary, and a pharmacy. Cultural events, such as the annual "Fiii Satului" (Sons of the Village) festival, contribute to the preservation of local traditions.
