Oxoklin® Rapid-acting cold chemical sterilant
Oxoklin® is a peracetic acid-based cold chemical sterilant intended for industrial and professional use. It has rapid action against bacteria, fungi, yeasts, mycobacteria, viruses, and spores, through a cellular oxidation mechanism.
It is effective even at low temperatures and in the presence of organic load (blood, pus, biological residues). The product is chemically stable under the recommended conditions of use and easy to apply through various methods.
At concentrations between 1% and 5%, Oxoklin® offers proven microbiological efficacy within time intervals ranging from 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the purpose of use and the type of targeted microorganisms.
After use, the product decomposes into acetic acid, water, and oxygen, reducing the impact on the environment. Application is simple: spraying, wiping, immersion, in compliance with the recommended concentrations and contact times.
It is used in medical units, laboratories, and professional spaces, where high standards of hygiene and safety are required.

Surfaces without direct food contact
The product is intended for use on surfaces that do not come into direct contact with food or animal feed.
For instruments and medical devices, rinsing with sterile water is required after disinfection, according to the instructions in the technical data sheet.
Physico-chemical properties
- Colorless, translucent liquid, with a specific vinegar odor
- pH of 5% solution: 2–3
- Water-soluble
- Tested according to ISO 14885:2022
Instructions for use
Prepare the working solution by diluting the product in potable or distilled water, at room temperature, in the concentration recommended according to the intended use.
Example for a 3% solution:
30 ml concentrate + 970 ml water = 1 L ready-to-use solution.
The prepared solution should be stored in closed containers, away from light, at room temperature, and used within a maximum of 24 hours of preparation.
Apply the solution by spraying, wiping, or immersion, while respecting the recommended concentrations and contact times.
🔽 Step-by-step application details
- Dose the product and prepare the working solution in potable or distilled water at room temperature.
- Homogenize the solution until fully dissolved.
- Apply using the desired method:
- Surface spraying/wiping – apply using a manual sprayer and a clean synthetic cloth.
- Medical instrument immersion – 5% solution, 15 minutes, using a container with a lid.
- After disinfecting the instruments, rinse with sterile water.
- Use the prepared solution within a maximum of 24 hours.
Recommended uses
- Surface spraying and wiping – direct action with a manual sprayer and synthetic cloth.
- Medical instrument disinfection by immersion – 5% solution, minimum 15 minutes.
ℹ️ Note: Remove visible organic residues beforehand, wear protective equipment, and follow the product safety data sheet. For surfaces not in direct contact with patients or food, rinsing is not necessary.

Sterilizantul chimic la rece Oxoklin prezintă compatibilitate excelentă cu oțelul inoxidabil, PVC-ul, polipropilena, polietilena, siliconul, sticla și cauciucul, nefiind coroziv pentru aluminiu, oțel cositorit sau materiale plastice precum teflonul și polistirenul. Cu toate acestea, produsul corodează fierul, nu este recomandat pentru utilizarea pe materiale din cupru și nu trebuie folosit pentru dezinfectarea instrumentarului din crom și nichel care prezintă urme vizibile de uzură sau deteriorare.

Clătirea după utilizarea produsului Oxoklin nu este necesară în cazul dezinfecției suprafețelor dure prin ștergere sau pulverizare directă cu soluția gata de lucru. În schimb, dacă produsul este aplicat pentru sterilizarea chimică la rece prin imersie sau umplere totală a instrumentarului și dispozitivelor medicale, este obligatoriu ca acestea să fie clătite cu apă sterilă la finalul timpului de contact.

Sterilizarea chimică la rece a instrumentarului medical cu ajutorul prosusului Oxoklin se realizează în 15 minute, prin imersia sau umplerea totală într-o soluție de concentrație 5%. Acest interval de timp este necesar pentru a asigura spectrul complet de eficacitate microbiologică a produsului.
