Which disinfectants are mandatory in salons where there is a risk of bleeding?

Mandatory disinfectants in salons with a risk of bleeding (tattoo, piercing and invasive cosmetics) must include products approved for work surfaces, instruments and hands, with proven bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal spectrum. Where there is a risk of bleeding, reusable instruments require rigorous decontamination before sterilisation. Klintensiv meets these requirements with ready-to-use or concentrated solutions such as Sterisol (a high-level disinfectant detergent for instruments), Deziamino (an intermediate-level disinfectant detergent for instruments and surfaces), Klintensiv Davera Soap (a chlorhexidine-based disinfectant soap), Alchosept (an 85% ethanol-based disinfectant) or Betaklin, a povidone-iodine antiseptic recommended for skin disinfection.

How are workstations and chairs disinfected after every client?

Workstations, manicure tables, headrests and chairs in the salon must be disinfected after every client or after any accidental contact with biological material. To prevent cross-contamination without damaging faux leather or the furniture's plastic materials, ready-to-use solutions that clean and disinfect quickly are recommended. Klintensiv RTU Surface Disinfectant is a high-level ready-to-use disinfectant that requires no rinsing and is fully compatible with the sensitive materials found in beauty areas.

Why is staff hand disinfection important before and after every service?

Staff hand disinfection before and after every service is mandatory because the operator's hands are the main vector for transmitting skin or blood-borne infections between clients. The protocol required by law involves first washing hands with water and a disinfectant soap such as Klintensiv Davera Soap, followed by handrub disinfection with a hydroalcoholic solution such as Alchosept, Klintensiv Disinfectant Gel or Dezidiol spray to quickly eliminate transient microbial flora.
